About the Social Inclusion Agenda

The Australian Government is working to build a stronger, fairer Australia through its social inclusion agenda.
Social inclusion is about building a nation in which all Australians have the opportunity and support to participate in our community.

To achieve this we need to tackle increasingly complex and entrenched forms of disadvantage.

The social inclusion approach is about all sectors of the community – government, business and the not-for-profit sector, communities and individuals – working together.
