29 November - 5 December is Australian Giving Week. Arranged by the Our Community Foundation, Giving Week focuses attention on how individuals, businesses and other organisations can support their communities both in the lead up to Christmas and throughout the year.

Information about Giving Week can be found on the Give Now website, which provides a range of advice about how people can give back to their community, either through a monetary donation, or in other ways - such as providing foster care, giving blood or even adopting a pet! The website also helps people to identify the best way to make a contribution through volunteering, and provides a listing of community groups in their local area.
